❤️𝗔 𝗛𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗳𝗲𝗹𝘁 𝗧𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗸 𝗬𝗼𝘂 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗞𝗶𝗹𝗯𝘂𝗿𝗻 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝗶𝘀𝗵 𝗖𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗹❤️

Following the serious fire at the former Methodist Church on Chapel Street during the early hours of Friday 11th September, Kilburn Parish Council would like to express its sincere thanks to everyone who responded and supported our community.

Our particular thanks go to Derbyshire Fire & Rescue Service, whose crews worked tirelessly throughout the night to bring the fire under control and protect the neighbouring homes. We are also extremely grateful to Derbyshire Constabulary and all the other emergency personnel involved in evacuating residents, closing the road and keeping everyone safe.

We would also like to thank the local residents and members of our community who checked on their neighbours, offered help and support, provided somewhere safe for those affected and assisted both during the incident and in its aftermath.

This was an extremely frightening experience, particularly for those living closest to the building. We are incredibly relieved and thankful that no injuries were reported.

The response demonstrated both the bravery and professionalism of our emergency services and the wonderful community spirit that exists here in Kilburn.
